How Waterpark’s 2025 Yearbook Came to Life.

Every yearbook tells a story. Behind the portraits and pages lies something deeper: the pride of a school, the laughter of shared moments, and the creativity that turns photographs into living history. For Waterpark College’s 2025 graduating class, this yearbook was more than a keepsake - it was a statement of identity, legacy, and design.

The Vision

From the beginning, the goal was clear: to create a book that wasn’t just looked at, but experienced. Waterpark had already raised the bar with its 2024 edition, but the 2025 yearbook needed to go further. It needed to feel modern, timeless, and distinctly theirs.

AerEthos approached this project with that challenge in mind. The aim wasn’t to impose a template, but to craft something completely bespoke - an artefact that reflected the vibrancy of Waterpark’s community while standing out as a design piece in its own right.

Gathering the Story

No yearbook can exist without the raw material of student life. Over 4,000 photos were carefully curated - moments from classrooms, corridors, sports pitches, concerts, and the unforgettable final year milestones. Each photograph wasn’t just chosen for its clarity, but for the story it added to the whole.

Working closely with the school ensured that every event, achievement, and personality was captured. The book became not just a record of names and faces, but a celebration of the students’ collective journey.

Designing the Experience

This is where AerEthos’ design philosophy came into play. Each layout was built in Figma, giving complete freedom to push the boundaries of what a yearbook can look like. Instead of repetitive grids, the 2025 edition leaned into editorial-style spreads - crisp typography, generous white space, and bold use of full-page imagery.

The pages were designed to breathe. Some celebrated individuals with quiet minimalism; others exploded with colour and collage-like energy to reflect the chaos and joy of student life. Every detail, from the margins to the choice of typeface, was deliberate.

Innovation with AerEthos Vision

This year also marked the introduction of AerEthos Vision, a unique feature that turns print into something more. By tapping into digital layers linked through QR codes, readers could watch videos connected to the yearbook pages, sports highlights, graduation speeches, even behind-the-scenes snippets from school events. The yearbook wasn’t just a book anymore; it was alive.

The Result

When the final copies arrived, bound in rich colour and printed to the highest quality, the response from students and teachers was overwhelming. It wasn’t simply “a yearbook.” It was a piece of design that carried emotion on every page. Parents saw it as something they’d keep for decades; students flipped through it, laughing, pointing, and reliving memories as if they had just happened yesterday.

The 2025 Waterpark Yearbook became proof of what happens when a school dares to aim higher, not just recording the past, but shaping how it will be remembered.

Looking Ahead

For AerEthos, this project wasn’t just about one book. It was about setting a new standard in what schools can expect from their yearbooks. Waterpark’s 2025 edition showed that when you blend thoughtful design, meticulous curation, and innovative technology, you don’t just create a product, you create a legacy.
