Every AerEthos yearbook is printed after students order. Production runs are set once a school has signed and orders are in, so nothing is printed that nobody asked for. And each of our six formats has its own public report on its paper, ink, glue, carton and carbon.

Design and materials. Every book block is 94% FSC-certified paper.1 The rest is recycled or responsibly sourced wood fibre.
Printed to order. A production run is set once a school has signed and orders are in. So there is no unsold stock, and every year group runs at the same time.

We make books with the planet in mind. The first step is choosing paper, ink and glue that we can put in writing.
Signature hardback. About 2.5 kg CO₂e from printing to recycling bin.2
Smarter chemistry. Vegetable-based inks on every page and cover, a water-based binding adhesive, and PVC-free cover materials.3
Responsibly sourced paper. 94% of the paper in every book block is FSC-certified. We are recording the chain-of-custody number for each stock.1
Recycled packaging. A corrugated carton, sized to the order. 62% recycled for hardbacks, 60% for softbacks, with no plastic wrap.4

Sized to the order. Every carton is corrugated cardboard cut to the size of the order, so we are not shipping empty space.4

Close to home. Our print site in Dublin City is 80+ km from the school. Books travel across Ireland, not across the world.

A book that is kept for a lifetime has the smallest footprint per year. When it is finally done, its paper and its carton go into household paper recycling.

Built to last. A sewn binding and matte board, made for a lifetime of shelves and moves.

The longer, the lighter. A Signature hardback kept for 25 years works out at about 0.1 kg CO₂e a year, from an estimate of 2.5 kg over its whole life.2

A cleaner press. Our books are printed in Dublin City, at a facility on 60% renewable energy.
