AerEthos pricing has two components — a school onboarding fee and a per-student book price. They serve completely different purposes and are paid by different people.

This fee is non-refundable and secures your school's place for the academic year. Final fee confirmed on quote based on school size and package.

The onboarding fee is not a deposit — it is the complete cost of AerEthos's coordination service. Here is exactly what it pays for:

  • Project management: AerEthos plans, schedules, and manages the entire yearbook project from signing to delivery. You do not run this project. We do.
  • Student outreach: We introduce the yearbook directly to your students — via assembly, form group or Zoom — and handle all student questions from that point on.
  • Submission portal: A custom submission system where students upload photos, write quotes, and submit content. We configure, manage, and maintain it.
  • Design management: Every page designed from scratch. Covers, student profiles, group sections, events, awards — all handled by AerEthos.
  • Revision rounds: Unlimited revision rounds until the school is satisfied. Nothing goes to print without your sign-off.
  • Print management: Files sent to our Dublin print partner. Quality checks. Delivery coordination.
The €299 figure is our starting point for smaller year groups. For larger schools or multi-year-group projects, the fee scales — this is agreed and confirmed in your quote before any commitment is made. The fee is always confirmed in writing before the school signs on.
The onboarding fee is paid upfront and secures your school's place for the academic year. It is non-refundable because it represents the cost of setup work that begins immediately — platform configuration, planning, coordinator assignment. Cancellation after design has commenced may incur additional fees proportional to work completed.

Students pay AerEthos directly. The school collects no money. There is no per-student financial risk to the school — only the onboarding fee.
Every student book — regardless of tier — includes the following as standard:
  • A fully designed, individual student page (portrait, quote, fields, songs)
  • Access to all group sections — class photos, events, awards, staff
  • High-quality print to our standard specifications
  • A lifetime digital PDF edition of the complete yearbook
  • Delivery to the school, labelled and ready for distribution

Vision-enabled tiers additionally include the AerEthos Vision digital hub (see below for full details).

Prices shown on this page are indicative starting points. The final price per student copy is confirmed in your quote and depends on student count, package selected, and academic year. Prices are locked once your quote is accepted — there are no surprise charges after signing.
Students order individually — there is no minimum class-wide purchase required. However, the more students who order, the better the value for everyone. Schools with higher participation rates often see stronger design results because more content is available to design with.
Students are provided a payment link after the school has signed on. They pay when they place their order — typically in spring of the academic year. Payment is collected by AerEthos; the school handles no transactions.

Package deep dives
AerEthos yearbooks are produced at a proprietary format (256×169mm) — slightly taller and narrower than A4. This is a deliberate design choice: the proportions create a more editorial, magazine-like feel than standard A4, and the size is optimised for the student portrait layout. It is not a template format — it was designed specifically for AerEthos books.

The Hardback Prestige uses the same interior page design as the Classic. The difference is the cover:

  • Cover board: 300gsm+ hardcover casing — rigid, durable, opens flat.
  • Foil option: Embossed foil title on the front cover (school name, year) — available on request.
  • GSM upgrade: Interior pages are printed on heavier stock, giving a more substantial feel.
  • Longevity: Hardbacks are significantly more durable over decades of use. For a book intended to last a lifetime, the Prestige finish is worth it.

Both provide identical access to the Vision digital hub. The difference is the method of access:

  • Vision QR (Class of 2026+): A QR code is printed on the inside cover. Students scan it with their phone camera. Accessible, familiar, works on any smartphone.
  • Vision NFC (Class of 2027+): An NFC chip is embedded in the cover board. Hold any modern iPhone or Android near the cover — the hub opens instantly in the browser. No camera, no scanning, no steps. Pure tap-and-open.

For schools booking for the Class of 2026, Vision QR is available now. Vision NFC is launching with the Class of 2027 — schools booking now for 2026–27 will be among the first in Ireland.

Yes. Schools can offer multiple tiers and students choose individually. For example, a school may offer both Hardback + Vision NFC and Softback Classic — students choose and pay for their own. There is no requirement for the entire year group to order the same format.

AerEthos books are produced to publication standard, not standard school-print quality. Specifications:

  • Interior pages: 130–150gsm coated stock (smooth, vibrant colour reproduction)
  • Softback cover: 300gsm+ with matte or gloss laminate
  • Hardback: 300gsm+ cover board with cloth spine
  • Binding: Professional perfect binding — holds flat when open, durable over decades
  • Print: Four-colour CMYK, professionally calibrated

Vision NFC · Launching Class of 2027
Schools booking for 2026–27 will be among the first in Ireland to receive NFC-powered yearbooks. Vision QR is available now for Class of 2026.
Vision — common questions
No. Vision uses the same NFC technology as contactless bank cards — tapping the book opens a URL in the phone's browser. There is nothing to download, no account to create, no login screen. A student who picks up their book in thirty years can tap it and access everything without knowing anything about how Vision works.

AerEthos guarantees a minimum 30-year hosting period for all Vision hubs, beginning from the date the hub goes live. This is a contractual commitment included in the school service agreement.

In the event that AerEthos ceases to operate before the 30-year period ends, AerEthos commits to: (1) providing at least 6 months' written notice; (2) making reasonable efforts to transfer hosting to a successor; or (3) providing a complete content export to the school. This is detailed in full in our Data Processing Addendum.

The Vision hub contains: videos uploaded by AerEthos from school events; photos submitted through the AerEthos portal; student names, quotes, and song choices (as they appear in the yearbook); and the full yearbook PDF. All data is processed under AerEthos's GDPR-compliant Data Processing Addendum. The NFC chip itself contains only a static URL — no personal data is stored on the chip. Yes — this is one of Vision's most valuable features. The Debs tab, for example, is populated after the event, which happens months after the physical book has been delivered. Schools and AerEthos can add content to the hub at any time throughout the year and beyond. The physical book captures everything up to print; Vision captures everything after.

Most yearbook companies are platform businesses — they sell you access to a design tool and provide templates. Your school's staff (often a teacher or TY coordinator) is then responsible for using that tool to design every page. The company's cost is low because they've moved the labour to you. AerEthos is a service business. We do the work. The price reflects that.
No book goes to print without written school approval. We send a complete watermarked PDF proof of every page before production. You can request changes — multiple rounds — until the book is exactly right. AerEthos has never had a school dissatisfied with their final yearbook. If you are somehow the first, we will make it right.
Yes. AerEthos operates a full GDPR Article 28-compliant Data Processing Addendum with every school. It covers sub-processors, security measures, breach notification (within 24 hours), data subject rights, international transfers, and the 30-year Vision hosting commitment. AerEthos works with 6th Year (Leaving Cert), Transition Year (TY), and Primary 6th Class. We also offer whole-school yearbooks — these are larger projects scoped individually. If your year group isn't listed, get in touch and we'll discuss options.
Our preferred latest sign-up is February of the academic year. After that, we can offer limited rush slots — faster timeline, reduced creative flexibility, no Vision. Our hard cut-off is April. If you're enquiring in May or later, get in touch anyway and we'll be straight with you about what's possible.
No strict minimum. We work with year groups as small as 10 students. For very small groups, pricing adjusts accordingly — the onboarding fee remains fixed, but per-book pricing may vary. Get in touch with your numbers and we'll give you a clear quote.
It means exactly what it says. There is no cap on the number of revisions you can request before approving the final proof. We continue iterating until you're satisfied. In practice, most schools complete revisions in two to three rounds — but there's no limit, and no charge for revisions.
Books are printed in Dublin and delivered directly to your school in labelled batches, organised by class or year group. We coordinate delivery to arrive before your intended distribution date — typically graduation or a designated end-of-year event. AerEthos is on hand for any delivery queries on the day.
Yes — always. Before anything goes to print, AerEthos sends a complete watermarked PDF of the entire yearbook for school sign-off. You review every page, request any corrections, and give written approval before production begins. Nothing ships without your explicit approval.
