How much does a school yearbook cost in Ireland?

The sticker price per copy is only part of the cost. Staff time, proofing and who collects the money matter too. Here is how to compare properly.

What AerEthos charges

Our list prices per student are published and the school pays nothing for the books. Students buy their own copies from us.

  • Classic: softback €30, hardback €33
  • Signature: softback €35, hardback €40
  • Legacy: €50
  • With the Vision digital archive: Classic €38, Signature €45, Legacy €60

What changes the price of any yearbook

  • Page count: more pages cost more to print and bind.
  • Cover: hardback costs more than softback; foil and special finishes add cost.
  • Paper and print quality: premium paper, full colour and lay-flat binding raise the price.
  • Quantity: unit price usually falls as quantity rises.
  • Design: a book that arrives as a finished file is cheaper than one a studio designs page by page.
  • Extras: a digital archive, personalised covers, delivery and proofs.

The cost nobody puts on the quote

A low per-copy price can hide staff time: chasing photos, laying out pages, proofing, and collecting money from students. If a teacher spends dozens of hours on a book, that is a real cost to the school even though no invoice shows it. Ask any provider how many staff hours to expect.

Who pays: school or students?

In some models the school buys the books and recovers the cost from students. In others, including AerEthos, students order and pay the provider directly, so the school carries no cost and does no collecting. Ask for this in writing.

Onboarding fee and the Class of 2027 offer

AerEthos charges a one-off onboarding fee of €299 for new schools and €199 for returning schools. For the Class of 2027, schools confirming by 20 November 2026 have it waived where at least 80% of the year group takes part. Final sign-up closes 21 January 2027.

What a lower price usually leaves out

Some printers and online tools advertise a lower per-copy price. That price usually leaves the design, proofing and photo chasing with your staff. We score each option on our compare page, with sources and dates.
