It is the first question schools ask. Here is the short answer and the reasoning.

Hardback

  • Feels like a keepsake and lasts on a shelf
  • Cover can carry foil, embossing and full colour
  • Costs a little more per copy
Want your yearbook made for you?AerEthos designs every page. Your staff give about an hour in total.

Softback

  • Lighter and easier to carry and sign
  • Lower price per copy
  • Better for very large year groups or tighter budgets

What AerEthos offers

Classic comes in softback at €30 and hardback at €33. Signature is €35 softback and €40 hardback, and Legacy is €50. With the Vision digital archive, prices are €38, €45 and €60. The school pays nothing for the books because students buy their own.

Our view

If the budget allows, a hardback is what students keep for decades. The difference per copy is small compared with how long the book lasts.
