AerEthos vs Lettertec: the full scorecard.
Lettertec (SchoolYearbooks.ie) is a Cork printer with a do-it-yourself online design tool. AerEthos designs the entire book, publishes every price and guarantees delivery. Here is the side-by-side, from their own public pages.
AerEthos covers 7 of 7. Lettertec covers 0.
We scored both on seven things every school needs from a yearbook partner, using only what each company states on its own public website. Lettertec: an online tool: the school or its students lay out the book on screen, and Lettertec prints it. AerEthos: we run the whole thing, and over the past year schools that were using other providers have moved to us.

What Lettertec does not tell you
- Who designs each student's page: the tool leaves that to you.
- Any delivery guarantee ahead of graduation.
- A digital archive to go with the printed book.
- How many staff hours a school should expect to give.
Where AerEthos wins, every time
- We design every page. Your staff give a 20-minute kickoff call and a 30-minute sign-off, and that is it.
- Every student gets their own designed page, with their quote and their photos.
- Every price per student is published. You can compare before you ever speak to us.
- Students order and pay AerEthos directly. Your office never collects a cent.
- Delivery is guaranteed in writing: at least one week before graduation.
- Vision: an NFC chip in the cover opens a private digital archive of the year on any phone. No app, no login.

Schools are moving to AerEthos
Over the past year, schools that were using other yearbook providers have moved to AerEthos. They did not move for a lower price. They moved because their staff were tired of building the book, and because they wanted a premium finish with a delivery date they could trust.
What we confirmed about Lettertec
- Describes itself as Ireland's number one provider of yearbooks to primary and secondary schools. That is its own claim.
- Its site is headed "Design your class yearbook online": the layout work is done on the school's side.
- Has advertised printed books from around €18 each with free delivery within 10 working days of final approval. The listing we could read is about two years old.
- Listed with a Co. Cork address and the email yearbooks@lettertec.com.

For students and parents
Students: you get a full page that is yours, designed by us with your quote and your photos, and you buy your own copy directly. Parents: the school does not collect money, there is one clear published price per edition, and personalised goods like yearbooks are exempt from the 14-day EU withdrawal right, as set out in our terms. Frequently asked questions
Is AerEthos cheaper than Lettertec?
Lettertec has advertised printed books from around €18, and AerEthos starts at €30 for a Classic softback. That gap is the layout work: with Lettertec your staff build the book, with AerEthos we design every page and the school pays nothing for the books. AerEthos list prices per student are Classic softback €30, hardback €33; Signature softback €35, hardback €40; Legacy €50. With the Vision digital archive they are Classic €38, Signature €45 and Legacy €60. The school pays nothing for the books: students buy their own copies.
Can I switch from Lettertec to AerEthos for the Class of 2027?
Yes. Send us last year's book as a style reference, book a 20-minute call and we take it from there. Sign-up closes 21 January 2027. See the switching page.
Does AerEthos use an online design tool like Lettertec?
No. AerEthos designs the book. Students submit their own page content through a portal and we handle layout, proofing and print.
